A PracTest is nothing but a test of your trading skills. After joining PracTest, SmartBulls users practice trading with virtual cash and compete with other users. At the end of the PracTest, users are assigned a rank based on their performance. Depending on the rank category, a reward may or may not be won. These PracTests can run on all business days for varying time periods, such as daily, weekly, or monthly, for both Equity and F&O segments.

Intraday PracTests start in the morning and end in the evening of the same day. All the trade positions are opened and closed within the same trading day and all open positions are automatically squared off at the end of the PracTest.

Positional PracTests run on two days, weekly or monthly basis. Participants can hold their positions for the specified period of time in order to take the advantage of larger price movements in the market. All open positions are squared off automatically at the end of the PracTest.

Flexible PracTests are the PracTests that do not get canceled even if only two users join. Yes, that's correct, no cancellation even if all spots do not fill up. The reward pool for the PracTest keeps increasing (up to maximum limit) as more and more users join.

Guaranteed PracTests are the PracTest subject to a minimum number of participants. If the minimum required spots do not fill up, the PracTestcan be canceled. The reward pool remains the same regardless of the number of users who join.

A watchlist refers to a list of stocks that participants create and monitor for potential buying or selling opportunities. This list helps the participants keep track of stock prices and market developments, and makes it easier to quickly access information about specific stocks that they are interested in. Watchlist can be created for maximum 20 stocks after joining the PracTest, and can be modified to include preferred stocks.

• Click on 'My PracTests' and go to the ‘PracTest’ in which you want to place orders
• Click on Continue Trading or Start Trading button to go to the Trading Panel
• Create a Watchlist by adding your preferred stocks
• Then click on the stock you want to buy/sell
• Next, click on 'Buy' or 'Sell' if you want to short a stock
• Then select either the ‘Limit’ or 'Market’ Order
• In 'Limit' Order, enter 'Quantity' and 'Price' and click ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ button
• In 'Market' Order, you can only enter quantity and order will be executed at market price
• If placed ‘Limit’ order, you will find it in ‘Orders’ tab as ‘Pending Orders’
• Once executed, the order is successful and you'll see the open positions in ‘Position’ tab

Each time a trade is executed on the SmartBulls App, a transaction charge of 0.10% of the total traded value is charged on the one side. This is deducted from Net Profit in your portfolio.

This situation occurs when the total value of your pending limit order exceeds the available balance in your account. To help you understand, consider this example: Let's say you have an open position worth 10 lakhs and your current balance is 0. If you place a limit order to exit that position with a target profit that's higher than 10 lakhs, your order value surpasses your available funds. Now, if you decide to close your open position at the current market price, resulting in a loss, the value of your pending limit order still exceeds your balance. As a result, the system will reject your pending limit order due to insufficient funds.

Trade limits refer to the maximum number of trades you are allowed to place during the Practest. This restriction encourages strategic decision-making and avoids over trading behaviour while practicing.

If you reach your maximum trade limit and still have open positions, those positions will automatically be squared off when the Practest ends. You may also square-off all your open positions from the ‘Positions’ tab of the trading panel. Just click on "Select and Exit" to square-off all your open positions.

You can see your trade limits in the summary page of the Practest you have joined.

Winners are decided based on their trading performance compared to other participants, irrespective of profit or loss they made. Even if a participant made a loss, he can still be a winner if his rank falls within the ranking bracket given in the Reward Distribution table.

Winners are announced after the PracTest ends. Participants can view their rank in the joined PracTest detail screen in the ‘Ranks’ tab.

Winners will be rewarded with SmartCoins - an in-app currency. It will be reflected in the ‘Funds’ screen of the app.

All the participants are continuously ranked in the order of their performance. At the end of the PracTest, the rewards are distributed among the winners as per the reward distribution ranking brackets.
